Lake Kanayama canoe experience

The Lake Kanayama canoe experience takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from meeting to departure. Here are the prices, the process once bookings open, and the day's activities. You practise and paddle your own canoe. The guide normally does not ride in the same canoe. Please check current availability on the booking page.

Once bookings open, only available dates and times will be shown. Fully booked or closed slots cannot be selected.

    Choose an available date and time on the booking site. Fully booked or closed slots cannot be selected.

  2. Enter participant details

    Enter the number of participants and your details, then check the price and booking information.

  3. Payment instructions

    Please follow the payment instructions on the booking site you visit next.

  4. Booking confirmation

    We will send your booking confirmation once payment and booking details are confirmed.

On the day

  1. Check-in / bookings

    Please check in at the designated meeting point. We will confirm participant numbers and how everyone is feeling.

  2. Equipment, safety and practice

    After fitting the equipment, we explain safety and you practise using the paddle.

  3. Out on the lake

    You paddle the canoe yourself. The guide normally does not ride in the same canoe.

  4. Return and hand back equipment

    Please return your equipment when you arrive back at the canoe tent.

Arriving by car

Parking and approximate travel times

Free parking is available at Kanayama Lakeside Campsite.

Allow approximately 40 minutes by car from JR Furano Station or 2 hours 10 minutes from Sapporo. Times vary with traffic.

Participation requirements

Children aged 3 and under cannot participate.The pet fee is per animal. Some pets may not be able to join, depending on species, size, number and other conditions.

Safety decisions

The guide checks weather, wind, lightning, visibility, water conditions and temperature, air temperature and participants' condition. For safety, the experience may be changed, shortened or cancelled. Please follow the guide's instructions throughout.

About bookings

Cancellations

Checking the cancellation policy.

If NAMARA HOKKAIDO cancels because the tour cannot be run safely, the affected tour fee will be refunded in full.

Please contact us to request a date change. Changes are limited to the operating period of the same green season.
